Cantine Lenotti

We are pleased to inform our customers about the presentation of a new wine: "Maffeo". This new wine born in memory of “Maffeo Eberardo Lenotti”, ancestor of the Lenotti Family. He was a renowned dealer that at the end of the 18’ century traded the typical products of our area (olive-oil, corn, grape and wine) supplying nobles and patricians, together with messes and refectories of many monasteries and churches of our area. From old letters of that period we can textually read (old Italian language): “Lo sobrio nettar d’oro fino del Maffeo riconforta l’animo, l’ingegno aguzza e fa l’uomo magnanimo. Quant’è miglior diletto versarlo dentro il petto?” It seemed to us right to pay homage to this eminent personage that already so much time ago believed in the typical products of our area and we dedicated this exquisite wine to him. The first bottles have been presented at Prowein and at Vinitaly 2008.
